The much-anticipated Kyela trip began with a spiritual foundation as our students gathered at Familia Takatifu Catholic Parish in Tunduma. This sacred starting point provided the perfect beginning to our educational journey to Lake Nyassa, ensuring that our students embarked on their adventure with blessings and prayers for a safe and meaningful experience.

After receiving blessings at the parish, our students began their journey to Kyela with hearts full of excitement and anticipation. Our first major stop was at Matema Beach Secondary School, located in the Mbeya Region, Kyela District, in Mababu Ward. This educational institution welcomed us with open arms, providing our students with an excellent opportunity to experience a different school environment and learn about educational practices in the Lake Nyassa region.

The school's Second Master and School Patron greeted us with exceptional hospitality, demonstrating the warm and welcoming nature of the local community. Their gracious reception made our students feel immediately at home and created an atmosphere of mutual respect and educational exchange that would characterize our entire visit.

One of the most impressive aspects of Matema Beach Secondary School is its commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. The school uses water directly from the mountains, eliminating the need for expensive water infrastructure while ensuring a constant supply of fresh, clean water.
